Default ? about aluminum drive shaft

I have a LT1 and am about to buy an aluminum drive shaft from a guy with a LS1. I was curious if it would fit. I have a M6 and I think it is coming off of a A4.

I am also a newbie to this forum so I wanted to say hello....

i would think it would fit.........but be forewarned........those stock driveshafts make an awful creaking noise when put in gear..........

It will fit. I had an LS1 drive shaft on my 94Z. I may be mistaken but I've been told that the stock LT1 driveshaft was unbalanced steel and that the lighter LS aluminum driveshaft is balanced. This cured a rumble I would get at higher speeds when I let off the throttle.

Just something to be aware of: LS1's with 2.73s & 235's fore tires- came with a steel driveshaft. A lot of people don't know that.

So just make sure the driveshaft is really aluminum. On another board A guy was asking why his "aluminum" driveshaft didn't look like everyone elses...heh.
