C-Clip

Hey Guys,

i ran into a big issue when i was changing the right rear rotor on the car, when i was taking the rotor off i hauled the axle right out of the car. The axle is fine but when i took off the rear-end cover i seen that the C-clip some how came off the axle and was stuck to the magnet,.... the posi is tore up pretty bad but the pin that hold axle in place looks fine. how is it possible that this c-clip fell out?? has anybody had a similar situation?
