I 1.6x and 1.5x my 10 bolt more times then I can count and never had one single issue from it.

^^^ you have a auto. M6 cars abuse the rear much more.

Oh absolutely, as known by the previous 20 posts in this conversation and conveniently my screen-name as well. I've never advocated 10 bolts for M6s though they will hold more abuse then people give them credit for if assembled correctly and freshened during their lifetime. I think the 10 bolt gets a bad rap. I've built a bunch and they hold up very well for their owners. I have a 12 bolt currently in my car, and a good ten bolt sitting on the floor of my shop. That should tell you something.

Yup street car w/ street tires, stock gearing. A few burn outs here and there.

I rebuilt my 10 bolt a couple years ago and it's held up good. I did it myself and it came out pretty quiet. I don't drag race my car, though and it's an A4, so for me it was worth it. I installed new axles and a girdle. I can see how it might not be worth putting money into a 10 bolt for an M6 car that sees alot of high RPM launches.
