Default How to pull Fbody 10 bolt axles?

My axle bearings are noisy and need to be changed. What needs to be removed to get the clips out? A picture would be great.

Remove your brakes, rotors and calipers.vPull the diff cover, rotate the diff until you see the bolt that keeps the big gold one in place, push the big gold pin part way through, then rotate everything around enough so the gold pin is facing you and pull the pin out, then go to the axle and push them in, listen for a clanking sound and pull out.

before, diff fluid is thick/nasty/and goes everywhere.

This may seem like a vauge set of directinos but once you get in there it will all make sense

My car has a different carrier than the pics for the axle removal. There is no pin to remove, I can't see any C clips, and there are no visible springs. The cars window sticker says limited slip Torsen differential and there was a $300 charge for a performance axle upgrade 3.23 gears.

You have the paddle on the torsen. Remove bolt holding the paddle in and remove. Have someone push the axle in and you should see the c-clips in the carrier at the end of the axle. Remove c-clips and carefully slide the axle out.

Thanks, that was easier than I thought it would be!

Default axle removal

I have a torsen diff and have taken my rear apart and the pin will not come out bc i have 4.10 gears and the pin is hitting the gear is there anyway to get it out without pulling the gears and having to reset the backlash and everything?
