If the truck has never been molested by some retarded mechanic the id tags will be on the covers stating what ratio you have...
It may have a 3.5 or a 3.9 ratio...
If you fill out your profile and put a location in i might be able to point you to a shop nearby that can help you

What size of wheels does the truck have on it? There should also be a sticker in the glove box that says what gears it has in it.
I had an 07 4.7 2WD ram before my GTO.
as far as a good place to get the gears I would go to airram.com or moesperformance.com for the gears. Depending on the mileage of the truck you will also want to get a master install kit the replaces all of the bearings. Also if you don't mind me asking, what gear ratio is he looking at?

we are looking at 4.10s or 4.56s depending on what is in it now. thanks for helping figure that out, the truck has never been molested by anyone else. it has aftermarket rims and tires but its still the stock size. we are in the omaha NE area if u know of any locations. Thanks again!

Without a DOUBT go 4.56's! Thats what I had in my ram. I swapped from 3.55's and man what a difference it made. Those gears really help the truck get moving especially with a 4.7 in it. I had aftermarket 20's on mine and I dont think I lost any MPG and the RPM on the highway wasnt high at all thatnks to having to OD in that truck.
