Hopefully Munster Z28 will let us know if he went with 3.90's or 4.10's and how he feels about the choice after having some time to reflect

I have .390 gears in my 2001 SS with cam and long tubes. I drive in Houston traffic and first gear is nice and works good in stop and stop stuff we have here. I have driven the car on 4 different 1000 miles a day drives with the .390 gears and current set up and love it on the freeway. 25 mpg in 6th gear and no downshift to ease by people at 80mph.

It will spin up the 275's real easy. Just takes some clutch and you can get underway pretty well. Better than the .410 gear cars I have driven. First gear can be used a lot more IMO. I just made a swap to some Corvette Grand Sport C6 wheels. When I get a chance, after my long wheel stud install, I will see how it is with the 325/30/19's and report back.
