Ford 9" differential/carrier problems and questions....

Ford 9" differential/carrier problems and questions.... This 3rd member "supposedly" has an auburn posi unit installed. I put it in my car and it only spun 1 wheel.... I pulled it out to rebuild it this weekend. Prior to me installing it originally I noticed it didn't look like any auburn posi pics I've ever seen but more along the lines of a traclock.
Fast forward to this evening....I pull the center apart, first off its NOT a tracloc...it resembles an open
unless the auburn has very few pieces to make it work.
Any thoughts on WTF this is??
Also the more pressing issue...I noticed this odd wear pattern on both spider gears... So I check the axle shafts, yup they match up
WTF can possibly be causing that?!?!
