I have a 98 z28 6-speed. I have 4.10s installed now. The gears are starting to whine when I hit the accelerator. I want to put a better gas mileage set of gears in because I drive all interstate 6 days a week. The car is stock so I'm not racing it just driving it now. I dont want to spend alot of money and have tried to swap the whole rearend for another one with stock gears but cant find one. They want 500.00 for a used one. Anyone know where I can find one at, or any suggestions?

I have trac control so I've been told 4 channel.

What other rearend will fit a 98 z28 6spd with trac control?

traction control started with the 1995 models.
don't know about brake compatability of 1995 thru 1997.
1998 -2002 Z28,SS,T/A,Formula should be OK
1998s' would have Auburn 'posi'.
1999-2002 would have Torsen 'posi'.
