Default Auburn vs Torsen???

What's the difference and which one's better? Can you swap them for each other?

do a search... they've been compared numerous times and you'll find all the details you need about each

they can be swapped for each other, providing the carrier series is maintained,a 2series in place of a 2series & a 3series in place of a 3 series.
swapping a carrier (not changing gears/gearsets ) still requires that 'backlash' be checked and set,if necessary.

I prefer the Alburn style differental, takes round center pen thought it to hold axles, the Torsen has a square block thought the center and I have seen more of them break personally but any of them can be broke and the Alburn style seems to be more positive traction.
