Got My Gears Installed!! Just got 4.10's put in my SS this weekend at East Coast Supercharging. They are amazing! This is the best bang-for-your-buck mod you can do in my opinion.They are Motive gears and they added in a rear cover to help strengthen the rear up a bit. I havn't really had a chance to lay into the throttle because I'm waiting 500 miles and then getting the diff fluid changed, but on the highway just cruisin, I can pass cars in 6th gear no problem. They do whine quite a bit, but that is because they are much tighter gears than the 3.42's and once they are broken in they should quiet down. Just thought I would share my experience and tell everyone that it is a worthwhile mod.

Congrats. I am also extremely happy with my 4.10's.
I broke mine in carefully for 500 miles and then had the fluid changed also.
Yeah, 6 gear is great now (not to mention how fast you can rip through 1,2,3,and4!)
Enjoy, and don't get tires that are too sticky

Good Bang for the buck alright, but the bang will eventually report from the *** end as you increase power. I broke a 4.10 w/in 90 days & a 3.73 w/ just bolt ons.
Save up for a 12 bolt/ 9 " rather than repairing the 10 bolt. It'll save $$ in the long run.
