the question is what series carrier does my rearend have.
If you have 2.73s'(option code GU2),it is 2 series.
If you have 3.23s'(option code GU5),it is 3 series.

ABS or ABS & Traction Control are 'channels'.
ABS is 3 channel,ABS & Traction Control is 4 channel.

OP, do you have a steel or aluminum driveshaft? Can you put your gear selector in 1st gear or does it only go to second?

it does have a gear selection for first, and it does have abs and traction control

Open the drivers door and look at the RPO sticker.
It will have GU2 or GU5 , then go back and look at FirstYrLS1Z's post and you will have your anxwer.

i was reading this and looked at my car but didnt see the sticker. its a 2002 trans am ws6, auto with 1st gear, 2nd, 3rd and drive.

anything else i can look for to find my gear ratio?
