Default TCS rear question

I need a new rear for my 99 with TCS. I have no idea about TCS. I want it out. Can I use a normal rear without tcs? If I use a non tcs rear will I have issues with abs?? I replaced an axcel without the tcs and now I have abs light on.

Yes you can replace your rear with one without ABS/TCS. Your rear with ABS/TCS has reluctor rings outboard by the brakes, they look like sprockets. Without ABS/TCS your ABS won't work either. Even it you swapped in a rear that has ABS, you can't hook it up, meaning you still won't have ABS. Other than the light staring at you, and the fact that if you slam on the brakes you can lock up the brakes which can cause a skid, it won't affect anything else. Bob

Can it be tunned out? If not I guess I'm stuck with this setup.

No it can't, but you can physically get rid of the light. Bob

Seems like the car does stop better with the ABS working...Yeah I could pull the ABS light and TCS light. We'll see for now the plan will be finding another rear.
