Yet Another "Analyze This Pattern" Thread - Ring and Pinion Change I installed a new (slightly used) carrier with a new 4.10 ring and pinion set into my '02 Z28. The stock carrier shims were too tight, so I used the shims from the ring and pinion set.
I might need to open the backlash a bit, it was not quite .006", but before I do that, I'd like to see what the experts think about this pattern.
It looks OK on the drive side, but moves toward the toe on the coast side.
