Can I swap my gear/carrier into another housing on my own?
Ive got a gear/posi that is set up in a TCS 10 bolt, and I have an empty non-TCS 10 bolt that I'd like to transfer the gear/posi into so that my ABS will work. My question is if my gear is set properly in one housing, will i just be able to swap it myself and use what ever shims are being used to allign the gears right now? Is there more involved? Assuming the housings were manufactured with close tolerances all should be good, right? What else all is involved? What is this crush sleeve thing?

Back in the day, I did that more then once. And I never had a problem. But now with the knowledge On how to do it properly I would never do it half assed again . (but if you borrowed a dial indicator and installed the gears Id give ya 50% chance of being with in specs)
