Default TrueTrac holds how much power? real users reply.

31 spline automatic street car
if you broke one, please say how much power, what trans and tires, driving or racing?

real world answers - not sales, posers or estimaters

I love lockers - just hoping to try something less clunky
thanks!

I can tell you that I use to sell a lot of them, then around 2005 or so when they got bought out, people started having problems with them, even with stock horsepower. I started offering the Moser nine inch rears with the Trac-Loc and I haven't had any problems with them. I would put on in a ultra high horsepowered car, but at 500 to 600 rwhp they seem to be doing just fine. Bob

Interesting facts, thanks Bob.

I ran my share of original Ford TracLoc posi rears in the '70s and '80s and on the street w/street tires posi all the time, at the track with slicks on Saturday - one wheel waterbox burnouts. So I run Lockers.
I don't hate them, but we know how they are

Are the 'new' TracLoc's - like the nice billit side covered ones I've seen - improved from the 40 year old originals in clutch strength and life?

Still looking for TrueTrac uses to chime in -
