Default lighter weight smaller gear? t56 500rwhp 2500lbs 28" 4.56??

So im deciding on my rear gear for my hotrod and numerically a t56 with 28 inch tire and 4.56 would work best. But what about traction with a 2500lbs and 500rwhp? It will be on the street 99% of the time. What would you guys choose?

we have done a few 4.56 gears for the non power adder cars that worked well for the t56 trans. keep in mind as your power increases you need less gear. alot of it also has to do with your particular engine combo... if you have the good parts in the valvetrain and lower end, and the correct cam heads and exhaust, then the engine should be capable of turning higher rpms(7K plus) and make better use of as taller gear. end of story it all depends on your particuuar combo as to what gear is the best.

Well i'll be staying under 7k. Engine combo is a 404ci, afr 225's w/ stock rockers, pat g conservative cam so it should be smooth N/A power delivery. I honestly doubt the car even weighs over 2000lbs at the moment. Im worried i will go to big a gear a lose traction.

I may just leave the gear as is and see how it reacts. Currently its a 3.07, with bald tires and a stock 5.3 i had a small bit of traction issue first time out. But it needs a full alignment.
