Default Swapping pinion yoke on the car? 9"

Rear is a Moser 9" that I bought used, came with a really weird yoke that is 1350 size but the holes for the U-joint caps are threaded like the stock 10 bolt yoke. I cannot find for the life of me a set of caps for a 1350 U joint and bolts that will thread into the yoke. I tried the Moroso Billet caps, and they don't line up with the holes on the yoke, they are too wide. So I ordered a new Moser yoke that comes with the u bolt things that have nuts on the back. ANYWAYS my question is, can I swap the pinion yoke with the center section and axles still bolted up and installed in the rear? This won't mess with the pinion depth or anything right? I will just have to torque the pinion nut down and measure the rotational torque again correct? Thanks for the help.

You are correct. Just remember to measure before and after you take it apart.

Awesome thank you!!! Will the axles have to be removed? Or can they stay in?

Yep just dont drop thi pinion in or you will br removing them and the third member to recover it. lol. Just kidding it cant go anywhere in a 9" do to the extra pinion support.

It can go in anyway. Try it on a 10 bolt next time you work on one.

Factory 9" Fords have a crush sleeve. If yours is shimmed, like some aftermarket 9" Fords it's a lot less critical when you tighten the pinion nut. Be sure to use a new nut. If this is something you're not "up" on, get a Ford service manual for a pickup or full size car with a 9" and follow the instructions for replacing the pinion seal. Any library should have one.
