thanks Ray

6 speed + locker = not good. Ever considered a wavetrac? Can't beat a lifetime warranty.

$800 gets you the best differential on the market and 100% lifetime warranty though. It's pretty amazing technology.

I plan to have my built ls3, rebuild T56 and Rear end good and warrentied LOL.

I dont know much about the wavetrac I have just heard its the way to go for mostly street cars

Im just having a hard time deciding on a rear end gear ratio

The Wavetrac is a great set up but we have had very good luck with our Billet clutch posi and the trutrac differential in our fabricated rear end builds. As far as gear it all depends on what your goals are, power adder and if a power adder what kind.

A locker gives the driveline excessive play, you can rotate the driveshaft a quarter of a turn each way. This play can cause the transmission to grind shifting gears at part throttle rpm. Wide open throttle shifts won't be a problem. This problem doesn't occur in every manual transmission car, but it can be a problem. Bob

One of our test cars is owned by the guy that welds up all our customers housings, and suspension items and he stated he would rather have a spool in his 6-speed car over a Detroit locker if we was going to use his car for testing other items this year.

We most likely will be using his car to test the Strange unit again this summer how ever.

I got to ask. What kind of rear are u getting? I hope a 9in. Midwest Chassis are NICE. For a street car the trutrac is all you will ever need. They work well and take a beating. If you want to launch at the red line on slicks and dead hook, there may be a problem in a manual. My friend when through a few trutracs and then got a Wavetrac and broke that. They replaced it and he has not tested the new design yet.
