Default Backing Plates - Swap 3 to 4 Channel

This may be an obvious question but, would there be any issues installing 3 channel backing plates unto a 4 channel rear axle? (ie: reluctor wheel clearances, etc)

Thanks,
Jim

I've been told you can't use 3 channel plates for 4 channel cars but you can use 4 for three....

Let me clarify. I am installing a complete 4 channel rear end (minus the backing plates) into my 3 channel vehicle. Traction control is not needed.

I was wondering if the 3 channel backing plate will bolt to the 4 channel rear end housing without clearance issues.

Thanks,
Jim

Since you're putting a 4channel rear, which does not have a 'reluctor' mounted on the carrier, into a 3 channel car,you will lose ABS.

Thanks, I realize that, but it won't matter since the ABS module is going bye bye anyway.
