will the stock t56 drive shaft hold 450 rwhp.. i also have an extra one. should i keep it just incase i need it ever. whats a stock aluminum drive shaft worth. used

At 450 rwhp you can break one pretty easily if your car hooks. When they break they can take out the exhaust system. If you do a search on here you'll find some pretty nasty looking pictures of them. They're worth around $100.00 used. Bob

no the stock drive shaft will not hold 450rwhp, My stock drive shaft snapped during a pull at about 90 mph. It sounded like an explosion. The drive shaft twisted almost perfectly in half. It took out the t56 tail housing, slp y-pipe, spohn adjustable torque arm, and put all kinds of nice holes in my floorboard.
Sound like fun? Not only did i have to buy an upgraded drive shaft at that point, but then i had to buy a new tail housing, y-pipe, and torque arm. So well over $1300 for a broken drive shaft, **** i could have bought a carbon fiber drive shaft for the $1300 if i wouldn't have waited for mine to break.
So do yourself a huge favor and don't even think about running the stock drive shaft with 450rwhp

Drive shaft safety loop??? yeah that isn't going to help if it snaps directly in the middle like mine did.
