Default 4.10 gears , come in!

Guys I really need ur advice

Last night I placed order for new Richmond 4.10 gears, I made allot of search in this form but still have few question regarding this issue

I have A4 2000 Z28

What is my speed and RPM range at this speed 50, 60, 75, 125?

What is my top speed? (Not: I have HPP3) could this help?

Did u feel different when u swaps ur gears?

Tell me ur experience

Guys this is my first post in this form don't disappoint me

1st do a search. 2nd, 3:73s are better choice with a auto unless you like cruising at 3500rpms. ive been there and 4:10's are fun around town but when you get on the highway it SUCKS!!!!

I have 4.10's in my M6, but I would not think that would be a good choice in an auto unless you want to have the rpm's up there all of the time.

That’s what I want to know exactly, my car is auto a4 so what is the RPM at 60 mph? And how much is my fuel consumption?

Back in November for the Southern Shootout I drove to NPR on 26/10.5/15 ET Streets..It was a 3 1/2 hour drive and at 70 mph with 4:10 gears in my A4 T/A my RPM's ran right at 2500 RPM..I averaged 24 MPG the trip there and back..Its a Heads and Cam engine built at Thunder Racing..

Hey your welcome..I've heard so many people talk negatively about 4:10's in a Automatic car..I've had nothing but good luck with them running on the street and also improving track times in a very heavy car..

I have 4.10s in my stock 10bolt. I have an M6 and absolutely love 4.10s! It should have come this way from the factory... You'll have to get more advice from Auto guys as far as how liveable they are with an auto.

so basically the problem with the rear end is hard launches then they go pop? I dont go to the strip, i dont race, but i want a gear that is going to plant my *** into my seat when i feel like having some fun. (usually i do spirts up to around 75 80 if the speed limit allows me to do that without going too far over it lol) I also shoot a 75 shot and 100 shot on occasion, i've been debating gears but im afraid for my 10 bolt. what all can bust when you "break your 10 bolt" anyways?

I think 3.73s are a little high for me on the highway. I heard 3.42 is the best street/strip gear. Im just going to save the money i would spend on gears and put it toward a new rearend. I would think that 4.10s would not hold up that long if you had a big stall and were launching on slicks. The A4 rears are not as hard on the rear as M6s are, but 4.10s in these 10 bolts are just weak
