I gained nothing. Trapped and ET'd the same. 430whp traps 115.5mph and runs 12.0's. I did gain some drivabilty. Cam and stall didn't like the 2.73's.

N/A I dropped .1 and gained 2 mph.
For some reason there was no improvement on the juice.

Was just about to post.

DA staying the same you should be absolutely estatic if you pick up .1 and 1mph in the 1/8, I wouldn't bet on it though.1/4 you will pick up a smidge however because you are eliminating the third gear low rpm shift. I would say .1-.15 and 1-2mph, absolutely nothing more.
The difference between those and 373s will be minimal to **non existent.

A4 cars don't benefit greatly from gears like M6 cars do, they're mainly used for increasing drivability with a cammed and/or stalled car. Hence why I am sticking with used oem 3.42's in my A4 over spending hundreds on an aftermarket set of 3.73's that will just whine like hell anyway

I went from 2.73s to 3.42s but did a 3600stall at the same time so I can't say how they work at the 1/4 mile track. With these mods I shaved .6 off the ET but MPH was the same. So my guess is you wont notice the difference at the track.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize your post had anything to do with gears.

Oh, I meant I did the swap the OP was referring to, along with my trans adjustments. My 2.73's didn't spin both tires all the time... worn out. It also didn't really spin the tires anyway.

wait .... how did you get any kind of gain from moving the battery?

and a gain of .3 to boot, your saying moving the battery gives you about the same as LT headers ?

Density altitude. Same way you can add an intake and tune and lose .2, go back four months later and gain .6.
You won't see a difference in relocating the battery. Car Is heavier after its finished.

Better question yet, why is an LS1 f-body running high 14's in the first place?

Well I can't find a rear with 3.42s and I'm sick of these 2.73s so I'll probably buy a set of richmond 3.42s

Touche salesman...

To OP, id suggest finding a used set of oem 3.42's. I found a set of oem gear out of an 01 SS and got them for $40 shipped with less than 20k miles on them. Much less expensive, plus aftermarket gears have a tendancy to make noise/whine

Plus after the rear end grenades down the road, you'll be sad when you've invested hundreds of dollars in it
