Default One Tire Fryer.. ???

I just bought a 02 WS-6 last weekend and I guess I should have drove it hard before I bought it cause today in the rain I noticed a dumb problem.. I decided since it was wet I would "play" and it wont kick sideways.. Its a "one tire fryer".. I shift weight onto the right side of the car and the left wheel spins, shift the weight on the left side of car and the right wheels spins.. point it straight and the right wheels spins.. I am guessing the diff is toast but I didnt know you could break one without actually breaking it, like make the car immobile break it.. anyway.. I actually called the previous owner and he said he had GM 3:42 gears installed but I have not verified.. any ideas where to go from here?? Any way to check the diff?? Is it worth it to replace the diff or should I just start looking at a 12 bolt since the car is going to get a healthy cam and stall next year?? Thanks guys

i have a 2000 z28 they have a clutch pack in the rear end that wears out, im assuming the ws6 could be having the same problem. when i would turn right it would light off the right rear tire all day, but when i launched it in a straight it would burn them both. its always good to upgrade when you already have plans to bring more power into equation.

At this point, it really does not matter. A good healthy 400 rwhp, stalled A4 can kill a rear pretty quickly if raced enough.

Well I know that but I'm just saying depending on what he really plans to do with it could just buy a new posi or pull one out of a wreck instead of dropping money on a 12bolt or 9
