Default upgrading to 3.73 gears!

I currently have a 2.73 geared 98 trans am A4 and thinking of buying motive 3.73 gears from ws6 store before i install my stall converter and headers.

I just need a little clarification on what gears to buy:

1) these should be 2 series for 7.5" differential, correct?
2) Would I have to buy an istall kit for them as well?

Never had a geared car, so i thought i would ask these questions before i make a move...

Thanx for the feedback

Yes,2 series 'thick' set for a 7.5 differential.
What year is the car ?
You don't have to buy a install kit,BUT very highly recommended, because of the crush sleeve, bearings, pinion & carrier shims,pinion/yoke seal & nut.
This should have posted in the 'gears & axles' forum.

3.73s' and a stall are probably the best combination to do.
What size stall are you thinking ?
Computor will have to be 'tuned' to correct speedo and possibly shift points as shift points are MPH based, not RPM based.

I like my Motive 3.73s. I would highly recommend a Ratech full bearing/race rebuild kit. Do it all while you have it apart. I believe they run about $100 with no axle bearings/seals or $140 with.
