GM gears?

Nope. GM gears can only be had through GM Parts. Motive, Superior etc USED to make gears for GM but GM now makes their own gears b/c their suppliers couldn't make them to the same tolerances as GM wanted. Genuine GM gears can ONLY be had via GM and they are NOT of the same quality as Motive, Superior, etc. GM genuine gears are much better quality. Remember, GM has to put cars on the road and they have to be quiet so their gears are designed that way.

You can only get them through GM Parts department. If you know a buddy that works at the GM Parts counter that can give you about 10% over cost, that's the only way you'll get them for the best price.

I think Dal at Vanderveer Olds sells any GM part at something like 10% over cost.

If you join the 4th gen list, I think you can find his contact info, or someone there can direct you to him. (plus these lists have a wealth of info on them)

When I bought Motive gears 3 years ago, I chewed up 5 sets in 7 weeks. I then put in Richmonds, and they are whisper quiet and as strong as ever.
GM did the right thing, believe me.
