So I'm in the process of changing my rear pinion seal. I marked the position on the large nut, took it off, and now the yoke wont budge. I tried tapping it from behind so to speak, with a hammer but still nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I would try a gear puller, you may rent/borrow one from most parts houses

Heat it up and tap it off. If you cant get a torch, maybe you could try a large ratchet strap or two

 

I second the gear puller, thats how I had to pull my 8.8 yoke off
