Most times you need an adaptor added to the rear end. You didn't mention which moser rear so I suspect you mean the generic 9" style like this...

For this I've seen 2 adaptors like these...

or

If you change out the brackets you could use this...

Now if you're talking about the fab style rear end, the above is useful if the idea of 800 or so for the torque arm doesn't thrill you...

I've had customers use their UMI torque arms with the Moser 9 inch with the torque arm mount that comes with the Moser rear. It is best to fit it before installing the rear into the car. Bob

Like Bob mentioned out torque arm will bolt onto the Moser 9" with out issues. You should be able to use the inner mounting holes too which will offer best tunnel clearance.

I have the Moser 9 inch & UMI torque arm setup & it was not a "bolt it in & go" install. the torque arm bracket that mounts to the bracket on the rear will require a little cutting & grinding. if i remember correctly, i also had to do a little grinding on the rearend bracket also. if you opt for the driveshaft loop with the torque arm, make sure you have adequate clearance especially if using a driveshaft bigger than 3" diameter. i installed the Moser 9 inch, UMI torque arm with driveshaft loop & PST 3.5" driveshaft at the same time & to shorten the height of the driveshaft loop pedestal by approximately 1". luckily, i'm pretty handy with a welder. hope this helps.

It is bolt in and go...if I remember correctly, you have to specify which rear end you have when ordering. I can see the DSL being an issue, it's a tight fit in there. Everything bolted up just fine for mine. Easier way i found was to bolt the Tq arm to the rear and install together.

Just checked their site to see & no option to select which rearend it fits. I'm just giving the OP a heads up of what to expect. I'm sure a lot of people will say its a bolt in & go deal, however that wasn't the case with my particular setup.

Well your right there. Seems umi's website is alot more iPhone friendly or i would of checked earlier. Guess it goes with these cars, nothing fits like it's suppose to. But as said, mine went together right.

Hello,

We have installed and used our torque arm on quite a few Moser 9"s over the years with out any issues. If the casting of the Moser 9" varies at all this may cause an issue like Nsty had, but other than that I am not sure why it didn't work correctly. We haven't changed or altered the design of our rear bracket since day one.

Like Bob said, test fit the items out of the to make sure all the items slide together easily. This will make the install 100x's better.

I hope that helps,
Ryan

The torque usually bolts right on to a Moser 9" with out issues. You can even slide it in and use the inner holes of the torque arm. I'm sure there can be small variations in a rear end casting though.

My UMI with loop bolted right up to my moser 9" from Bob. Just install it before you put the rear in the car.
