Go for the 9in or s60. I have a burkart fab 9 and love it. Went with a clutch type after market posi and 3.90 (26in tire). Drives like stock, kept all my abs/tcs, and could still run factory type TA, and brakes. Make shure you get after market drive shaft also. If you search burkart my install should come up. The s60 will probably cost less in the Long run but weigh a lot more, strong as hell though. Gl

You kind of contradicted yourself in your post but the quote above is the reason why I will be going MWC...

The question now becomes 4.11's or 4.33's?

I am in the same boat as you, I would also like to know this. Now don’t quote me but I was reading somewhere that if the car was staying NA then you could do 4.30 but if you were to use the juice that it would run out of gear by the end of the track.

How do you run out of gear at the end of the track if the gearing is the same? The only thing you change is the power level.

I had considered NO2 but I'm still not convinced that my rebuilt LT1 even with ARP rod bolts and mains would survive over 600 fwhp.

When upping the power level, you are picking up more speed and you'll be crossing the finish line at a higher rpm. Bob

The guys wondering about gear ratio choices, we can go over all that on the phone and come up with something that will work for you. There is a ton of things that need to be considered when figuring out rear end gear ratio.

I have 4.30's in my s60 and drive it on the street. I went with the bigger gear to help my car 60ft because it is heavy. I had 430rwhp before the switch to the s60. It will trap about 119 in the 1/4ll with my 6600 rpm limit, on 26 in slicks. On the street, I love the way it drives. But it will spin the tires in first with anymore than 3/4 throttle. I'm ok with it, but I can also see why someone else wouldn't want it. It turns about 2000 rpm at 70mph. I never checked mpg difference, because honestly I don't care about it. Hope that helps.

Ryan
