Default ls1 backing plates without removing axels?

Ok I just did a whole rear end swap intro my surprise I totally blanked out and forgot to transplant the backing plates to the new rear end, is there any way to remove them without removing the axels? The oil and gasket are so good and tight I really dont want to open up the cover again, there has to be an alternative, maybe aftermarket backing plates? anyone please help thanks

No way to instal the backing plates without removing both axles due to the fact that the plates are bolted behind the axle

You have to remove the axles to get them off.
