Default my Eaton posi unit is slipping now what

So at the track im getting single tire spin on ocassion. Its a Moser 12 bolt Eaton posi. I can put clutches in it but I don't feel like it will last. This thing has almost no miles on it anyway. So I have a twin turbo 6 speed street driven some track duty. What's my best plan. Im not messing with single tire burnout this year.

Wavetrac makes a diff unit that will fit and is a preloaded non clutch type diff. It is a little costly up front but carries a lifetime warranty as well. Sell off the Eaton unit and put the money toward the Wavetrac.

Give us a call... we have these in stock.

The carrier you have can be fixed rather easily. You just rebuild it tighter. You can get very tight by adding a shim, I'll explain if you're interested. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Clutch-Pack-...853870&vxp=mtr
The only problem is getting it back together. I used to use a flywheel to crank bolt with a nut as a jack to jack the axle gears apart so the spider gears will go in.

If it's done correctly you will never spin one wheel, and it will push the front end a tad when you get off the highway after a long 70 MPH run. And you won't need to reset the ring and pinion like you will if you swap carriers.

Well then that may be the answer. I have to change gears anyway so I can do the work on the bench. Thanks for the answer.

said it yourself... this is an option for you no doubt, but it will only last a while. dragstrip use is very hard on posi clutches and eventually you will be right back where you are. This is why I suggested a different type diff unit.

i would go with a full spool, won't have a problem then, maybe some gear whine due to the rear being a 12 bolt
