Wheel bearings?

Wheel bearings? For the last 6-7 months I've had what sounds like a scrapping noise coming from the driver side rear wheel area. Can't really hear it from outside the car, but it's pretty loud from the interior. When I start off at a slow speed, you can hear it scrap... scrap.. scrap.. then as i speed up, it gets faster, and eventually blends into a single noise, almost a whining. Also, say I'm going 45 mph in 5th, i let off the throttle and the noise dies down a good bit, back on the throttle just normal, and it gets louder. Help?

I've got the same noise and I think it's my wheel bearings coupled with possibly the pinion and carrier bearings as well. I'm saving up to just fully rebuilt it with new GM geards and everything. Do you also have a weird brake noise with a creaking type sound from the rear when braking normally?

It's a super annoying sound, do you know how difficult it is to replace the bearings by any chance?
