Had a set of Motive 3.90 gears in my brothers 01' SS and when you turn right it makes a loud rubbing noise? Didnt do it before gears, seems to be getting worse. Put new bearings in it, replaced 1 axle and inspected them. Cant figure it out. Any ideas? Only when you turn right.

I actually had a few issues with the rearend. First I replaced the gears, then come to find out I had a bad axle causing noise only when I turned right. The axle was pitted right where the axle bearing rides. I would check that first. We got that taken care of, then a few hundred miles later a similar noise came back only when making a hard right and it was the carrier bearing. It was a fairly straight forward fix on the 10 bolt. Although the carrier bearing has to be pressed off, then the new one pressed on.
