The fewer the mod's, the less power to the gears, so even less risk, right?
Especially with 2.73 gears???
That is the strongest gearset you can get for the 10bolt.
This post makes zero sense.

This has been my experience.
Have been running ET/DR's for years with 60's in the 1.53-1.70's on a BONE STOCK 10 bolt.
No issues.
This year switched to a bias ply to get a more consistant launch.
I was surprised to find that not only did my 60' time drop, but that a 1.46 short time on the bias ply was not as violent as the 1.53 that the DR's gave me. The bias ply did a much better job of absorbing the shock of the initial hit.

Ive made 15 passes on a set of Hoosier QTPs. 6 speed, bolt ons, stock rear. 1.7 60' times. I launch from 5k, slip the clutch, not dumping it. Never had a problem. I think as long as you dont dump the clutch and have stock gears you should be fine.
