With my 4.10s, my 26" M/T's, I can get 130 out of 4th (6900RPM) before I would be getting out of my powerband at all. My car makes 470whp from 6000RPM to 6900RPM, so I don't think running out of RPM will be a problem any time soon. Not just that I will be adding a FAST to my setup eventually - should rev even higher theoretically. I will probably run 4.10s once I get a strong rear and just run a taller tire if I need "more gear."

With that said, if I am having trouble running out of gear (trapping 130+) I will have no problem switching to 3.90s, haha.
No doubt a 26"MT is probably a little taller than the stock hieght tire I was running. But I would'nt think it would be enough for you to run 130 with a 4.10@ even @ 6900. What times/mph have you ran with your car?

I have yet to run the car with these gears. I am thinking of going to the track this Friday though. Mathematically the car has to be able to get 130 out of 4th at 6900, so I don't see why it would not.

On fbody.org gear calculator told me I could go 127 with 4.10@6800. Their mathematics was off. I could only go 122.xx. Hope your not useing that calculator....lol.

Good luck fri. Post up results!

My shift light is currently set at 6400 and the only pass I made it was just coming on as I went through the traps at the 1/4. I only could make one pass before it rained, but I definitely think the calculations I have done are good. I still had probably another 600RPM to go before the limiter. Anyway the pass sucked so I am not posting up results, but overall I like the gears.
