Can I use a v6 rear end in my z28?

came with them because the V6 Camaro only had about 205 HP, which would have a hard time spinning both rear wheels on
dry pavement, let alone ONE, unless you really want to beat up on your car. Both of mine have 5-speed manual trannys,
so unless I dropped the clutch at high rpm and jumped on the brakes, I would have a pretty tough time doing a good burnout
on dry pavement with big "sticky" tires.
What I would recommend would be to install a good posi diff or find a good, used Torsen diff and bolt it in to your existing housing.
Better yet, find an entire rear end from a late 4th Gen F-Body that isn't trashed, and just swap it out with your existing rear end,
and just transfer the brakes from your old rear end to the new one. Of course, the rear gear ratio will probably be different, so
your speedo will be off unless you go into the PCM and change the rear gear ratio in that unit. The V6 Camaros usually came
with a 2.73 rear gear (auto trans), or a 3.23 rear gear (manual). Most of the Torsen diff rear ends had a 3.42 rear gear (manual 6-speed)
or a lower gear with the auto.
