Default synthetic or non synthetic for ford trac loc?

Ive been reading alot on what gear oil to use in my (brand new) trac loc posi. I know I have to use a friction modifier, but is synthetic ok to use? I bought 4 bottles of lucas and was going to put that in after the break in fluid change, will the synthetic mess up the clutch pack in the trac loc?

It's not going to mess anything up I don't think, but it may keep the clutches from holding. If it does, go back to dino.
