the housings are different. you could just swap out the guts but make sure you put the reluctor ring off of your diff back in your car. its about a two hour job.

way too much! you would have to drill about a 1 inch hole on top of the rear in the EXACT position the sensor is then tap a small hole next to it to hold it in place. then you would have to take the rear completly apart to get the ring gear off of the diff , then sandwich your reluctor wheel between the ring gear and the diff , put it back together, fill it back up with fluid, then swap the whole assembly in to your car.

you can put a NON TCS rear into a TCS car but you have to put your original backing plates, and your original axles in it (NON TCS axles don't have the machined lip for the reluctor wheel). which means you gotta pull the cover off, pull the axles out, take off the backing plates install your TCS backing plates, install your TCS axles, and plug the hole on top of the rear end or just leave the sensor in, it wont hurt anything.

It will bolt right in but you'll lose ABS.

Bringing up an old thread, but what are (or are there) distinguishing visual differences between and non-TCS rear and a TCS rear?
