Default Need a new rear end

I'm pretty sure my car is going to need a new rear end very soon. ran a 11.68@119mph last year on drag radials. has 3.73 gears. I'm worried about it givin out on me in a um.. irritating spot.

i'm not sure if i should go with a 12 bolt or 9".

car has front AND rear abs, and no traction control.

I've heard the 9" only works on cars with abs AND traction control, and u have to give up abs to get it if u dont have traction control (abs is good in rain... etc.).

any input would be appreciated, i'm very new to the whole ls1 info... but i'll catch up quick.

you have a 3-channel setup. your options iare to get a 3-channel 12-bolt, a 3-channel ford 8.8", or a 9" (but then you have to remove abs). do you have an a4 or an m6? most m6 guys tend to go with the 9" because it is stronger than the 12-bolt. i dont know much about the 8.8"

thanks for the reply, I have a 6spd (is that an m6???).

I dont plan on drag racing all the time, but I want a rear end that will handle a hard launch once in a while.

Thanks
