no write-up necessary because of the simplicity of converting a 3 channel rear to use in a 4 channel car.
Just add/use the 4 channel axles w/reluctors and the 4 channel backing plates with sensors.

isn't there a rear axle brake line issue?
my 2002 has traction control and years ago i bought the russell performance brake line kit RUS-692290, was around $140 and gave me 2 flex lines that connect the two hard lines from the chasis to the center of the rear axle where there is a separate left and right side brake line on the rear axle.
when I had bought that, everyone was saying you don't need to replace those because all the kits at the time were like RUS-692280 which gave you only one flex line for the chassis to rear which tells me if the car didn't come from the factory with traction control then it only has one brake hard line coming from the abs module to the rear. So i think you would need to run brake line, and worst case replace the abs module with a 4 channel one as opposed to a 3 channel. I'm guessing the factory uses all 4 channel abs modules and just leaves a plug in when using it on a car without traction control ? If this is the case then you may also need to enable traction control in the PCM.

A 3 channel system and a 4 channel system are different in hydraulics, mechanical, and electronics/electrical control.
The ABS module has a different GM part number than the ABS/TC module.
The PCM of a 3 channel does not have TC in it to actuate/enable.

to OP,yes, just leave 3 channel sensor mounted in pumpkin.
