Default Need some advice

I think this is the right section. I have done research but couldn't find the exact answer I have been looking for. I will be ordering a mwc fab 9 this year for my car. I have a 2002 camaro z28. Doing a complete rebuild. Aiming for 550 rwhp na with a built 4l60e. I will be running some 325/50/15 wheels out back and I was just curious what gears to run? Car will be mainly driven on street as a weekend warrior. I was thinking 4.10s due to the big rear tires? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Jordan

I would go 373,maybe 3.90......

if your not gonna go 1/4 mile, then 4.10s would be fun. but it will be real hard to get traction on the street with them....

Why would it be hard to get traction?

you are shooting for 550 NA......3600 stahl + 4.10 gears on the street.

just seems to me like 4.10 will be a little much for that combo, especially if you plan on dig racing on the street.

i had a 407rwhp A4 with a pt4000 & 373 gears & it would just blaze the tires on the street.........1st,2nd & 3rd & that was on a 27" ET STREET if my memory is correct..?

prepped track it was pulling 1.48 60' lifting the front tires about 2" or so.it ran 11.08 @ 121 in the 1/4 & 7.00 @ 100 mph in the 1/8th

good luck with it!
