Default 2000 trans am Diff. rear end change

Hello, I'm new here just bought a 2000 trans am ws6 with only 8000 miles. So it sat a lot. Runs and rives fine but I'm going to change the oil and wanted to checkout the rear end while its up on jack stands. What type of fluids should I add? Do I stick with the what the owners manual states ? Or do you have better recommendations ? The last question should I even change it or just check the level ? If I just adjust the level what do I put in? LOts of Qs sorry ! Great forum George On the window sticker it says Torson rear end.

I have a 2000 T/A I just picked up with 54K. mi on it. Changed out the fluid to Castrol 75w90 full synthetic. Add till it starts to run out the fill plug on the side.

Make sure you put the friction modifier in it too. I literally just did this about two hours ago. I used regular old Valvoline 75w90.
