Default Ls1 axles vs lt1 axles

I have a rear end out of a 2000 camaro ss and wanted to swap it to my 93 camaro. They are both 3 channel. I was wondering if i should swap out the axles from my lt1 to the ls1 or just swap the backing plates? I plannon using my lt1 brakes. Ive read that the axles are different lengths, so im unsure on just swapping the backing plates.
Any help is appreciated.

The axles are 1/8" different. I can't remember which are longer. You have to pull the axles to swap the backing plates anyways so you might as well swap them over.

My salad shooters fit my LS1 axles with no issue at all.
