Driveshaft/Nittos?
What does it take to break a stock driveshaft?
I just put Nitto 555 on and the guy at discount tire told me to watch my driveshaft. I told him ill probably have to think about my rear end before my driveshaft and he looked at me like i was crazy.

I launched with 5000rpm "slip" (didnt want to do a clutch dump on stock 10 bolt) and sprayed it on nittos in first gear from 4500+ rpms no problems YET. Did this only a couple of times like 5 the most. This was done ON THE STREET and it hooked perfectly fine (was happy as hell). I was just practicing take offs when no one was watching . Im dynoing 483rwhp on spray. (Major knock on wood).
Saving for rearend.
Honestly.. I think if I dont launch the **** out of it.. as in no 3500rpm dumps my rearend will never break. BUT i could be wrong as some people state they broke their rearends on their STOCK fbody with STOCK good year tires going on a 1st to 2nd shift...

On Nittos, the rear went (and locked), and took out the driveshaft with it. Peeled the driveshaft open like a tin can. This was on an M6 with lid, cutout, and McLeod clutch. This was the stock aluminum driveshaft.

i have slicks.. I have Hoosier's on it. I only launched it at 4500 RPM. I babied the car out of the whole until I got use to the power of it. That is why my 60' is only 1.7! I wasn't ready to launch it like my a$$ was on fire yet!! This is a 10 sec car. We just need to get all the bugs worked out and I need alot more pratice and the car WILL see 10's.
