Default Are 98 and 00 rears interchangeable?

Hello, I have located a rebuilt 98 10 bolt with 3.73s installed for a good price. It is a 4 channel unit just like my original. Other than having an Auburn diff, is it interchangeable in my '00 Formula?
I know, save your money for something else...but my car is stock except a few bolt-ons and I'd like to change out the 3.73s for some 3.90s.
Thanks
Joe
