The other day a friend of mine told me that my rear wheel seal off the 12bolt was leaking..so i changed the seal and added new fluid 75w-90 with gm additive and the day as i was getting home it started making a rare sound..like something was either hitting or something was loose..so me and my boy jacked up the rear end and took off wheels to inspect the rear and so we put. The car in drive with no wheels and no noise! And the rear spinned freely ..We put the wheels back on and bam theres a noise again! Me and him are thinking wheel bearings ...could this be?

When I put new axles in, I bent the damn thin metal dust brake shields I think there called, and it was a loud scrapping noise.

Check to see if your torque arm has come loose where it bolts to the rear. Bob
