I have a Moser 12 bolt with an auburn carrier and want to move to a higher gearset. My problem is, I bought the rear used and am not positive what gears it has. They are either 4.10's or 4.11s so it's a crap shoot as to whether I have a 3 or 4 series carrier. Anyone have any insight for me before I go and pull the diff cover? Attached is the picture I'm hoping might give a clue

the ring gear(on its' OD)should have numbers stamped in,could be part number and/or numbers indicating teeth on ring and teeth on pinion.

I know how to find out what gear it is once the diff cover is open, I could even just get the P/N of the carrier itself that way. I was hoping someone could tell by the ring gear thickness or general size/depth of the teeth which it is though before I rip it apart
