Default Need rear end advice

I have a 99 Camaro SS M6 with about 500 RWHP and about 500 torque, I am looking to get a new rear end but I have a lot of requirements

It needs to handle lots of power
it needs to adapt to all my suspension ( Full BMR adjustable everything )
And I would like to keep good handling
Mostly street driving
10-15 1/4 runs a year
5-10 trips to a road course a year
lots of burnouts and driving hard

from what I have read the M6 does not do well with 12 bolts, and a 9" cant use all my suspension parts, and the Dana s60 is strong yes but heavy so it will make handling worse and eat HP....

I guess what i would like to hear is what people have on their cars and what do you use your car for and opinions for my set up and needs

thanks

Yeah, you need to talk to some vendors personally as you have some very specific needs. Bob @ Brute Speed, Carl @ CRP, and Midwest chassis are the ones I'd go to first.

You can do anything with a 9". All the money is in the 3rd member and can change out in minutes.
The pinion is supported in 3 places and gear changes are simple.

All of your suspension parts will bolt up to a Moser 9 inch, or any other 9 inch designed for these cars. Take a look at the Moser 9 inch with the Wavetrac at this link. Shipping is free. http://shop.brutespeed.com/Moser-9-I...h-Wavetrac.htm
Let me know if you have any questions. Bob

Make sure that you are comparing apples to apples. Our 9'' comes with the torque arm and crossmember mount. We also have no clearance issues. The driveshaft runs in the stock location and it is a true bolt in. The prices are very similar. Our base package is built specifically for a 93-02 F body and has all the brake tabs and convenience items that make easier to install.

Whats the pricing for the basic package? With spool and 35 spline?

Our basic package would be $2850 and includes the torque arm and the mounting crossmember. It also has all the brake tabs to make it a true bolt in.

Check out our site for add ons that may interest you.

What is your timeframe? Do you want to get the rear one week after the order is placed, or can you afford to wait until sometime in mid Spring? Moser ships their rears out just two days after the order is placed. Bob

wow .... vendor war going on here. I live in Minnesota and there is like 5 feet of snow outside so I am not in a hurry, my car goes in this week for a full t56 rebuild with all the goodies, I plan on maybe mid march pulling the trigger on a rear end so I can hopefully have it in the car by the time snow melts. I plan on talking to as many people as possible and see how other people use their car and how there rear ends perform for them, I will give Bob call and I wil call midwestchassis as well I don't want to count out any options... I only want to buy a rear end once so I am going to do my research on this... thanks again for all the replies

No wars... We here at MWC feel it is our job to inform our customers and the f-body family of all the options available so you make the right decisions and feel you have spent your hard earned money on the right parts, right the first time, and got a good value.

One thing about dealing with MWC is that we are direct dealers for all the major vendors as well as manufacture the highest quality and best priced 9" rearend package on the market. You are not stuck with just what one vendor offers and you also get years upon years of street and track experience for the expert tech help when you need it after the sale.

Keep in mind MWC offers a free payment plan for our customers. All we require is a 500.00 deposit to get you going and then you pay as you can. We work with everyone's needs and budget and we will no sell you things you don't need, but we do spend time speaking with you about your current setup and future goals to make sure the purchases you make will last you a long time.
