How much backlash for a 12bolt track only use

You can go a little tighter on a drag race only car. .005-.010 is usually whats considered 'normal.' I wouldnt go any tighter then .003-.004 and make sure it gets checked in a half dozen spots around the ring gear..
I used to run 10w40 in my drag race only 12 bolts also, never had any real problems using it - good for a few hp but not for the worrying type
