Let me make sure the 4 channel will work on a 3 channel. Mines a 3 channel.

No, it will not work. 3 channel only has one line running to the rear, 4 channel has two.

Dumb question but does it matter if the car was automatic or m6? Will either work on my 2001 m6? I now know it has to be 3 channel non tcs.

Well found this off of place that rebuilds abs modules just in case anyone else is having abs inop/low trac trouble...

"Is your vehicle having ABS problems? We can offer you a solution!!!

Here are the most common symptoms that let you know that the ABS/EBCM has failed or is failing...

•ABS PUMP ALWAYS RUNNING
•NO COMMUNICATION
•RELAY CODES
•ABS LIGHT ON OR COMING ON INTERMITTENTLY
•WHEEL SPEED SENSOR CODES
•CODE... C0265 (ABS MODULE FAILURE)
•CODE... C0267 (ABS PUMP RUNNING CONSTANTLY)
•CODE... C0268 (SHORTED OR OPEN ABS PUMP CIRCUIT)"
