Default After the long wait.. The S60 is Here!

Hey Everyone,

I finally after almost 2 months got my Strange S60 for my CatFish

BACKGROUND ON CAR:

I bought this car almost 6 months ago motor already worked and pushing around 456RWHP and 412FtLbs (i know i shouldn't take credit for the motor since i didn't build it but it was such a good deal i couldn't pass on it).
3800 Stall On a Mostly Stock 4L60e (Ticking time bomb)
Stock 10 Bolt with Richmond 3.73 Ring and Pinion

THE INCIDENT:

About the middle of May I decided I should take the car to the dragstrip and see what it can do! (Of course I was smart and didn't bring a trailer "

First Pass comes around and me being a dumbass decided to leave at around 2500 RPM and what do you know, Torsion decides to Explode and weld itself together...****.

Long story short I got the Car home and this is what I Saw when I pulled the Diff Cover and had to use a press to get the Torsion apart.

(Sorry if The picture doesn't show up under the Paragraph.. I'm new to the Forums.)

ORDERING:

After a long debate of either trying to rebuild my stock rear or get something nice, I Decided to grow a pair and order myself a narrowed Strange S60.

As soon as the sales person told me that it was going to take 3-4 weeks to be on my doorstep I was extremely excited because I was expecting it to take a lot longer... and I was right.. The rear end finally showed up almost 6 weeks after ordering it..

Along with the S60 I also ordered Spohn Adj. LCAs, Adj. Panhard Bar, Adj. Torque Arm, and the Cross member mount with the DriveShaft Safety Loop.

INSTALL:

The S60 was a Walk in the park to put in with all the new Spohn Stuff.. Install time was probably around 2 hrs?

The only thing that I wish Strange would have mentioned is that if you get your rear narrowed, none of your brake line brackets are going to work and some fab work will be needed

Install is almost done.. All i need now is a Driveshaft and to get all my adjustments tuned in!

Ok im done making you guys read all this so im just going to get to the pictures.

Feel Free To comment any Questions.

Looks Good. I used the same method to paint the rear except I used my engine hoist... What drive shaft are you going with?

I went through all of the options and ended up buying the 4.30 MWC out of the sales pen. It will be in Houston Tuesday hopefully. I was so close to ordering the S60 from Curtis.

I broke a few strongish rear ends in the past so I knew the 7.5 in my newly purchased was dead meat the first time I stand on it hard with a stick.

Can't wait to see your results.

Richard

I would have narrowed it 1/2" per side since I like my CCW wheels. If I had nothing like that already I would go between 2 and 3 to save unsprung and rotating weight. Stock will take a 10" wheel with about 7.5 BS. Free room there to narrow it up. I bought mine used so I am not able to go that way.

I had mine narrowed 3 inches per side so I could run a 10 inch wheel with 5.5 inch backspacing

Really makes the car stand out
